Our Dive Camps are a camp like no other! Over the course of this action packed camp, participants will become qualified PADI Junior Scuba Divers. This lifelong qualification will give young people the skills and certification to dive to a depth of 12 meters anywhere in the world (under the supervision of a PADI professional). There is a strong focus on team building, with participants gaining the knowledge and skills to excel in a safe & fun-filled environment.
The PADI Junior Scuba Diver course is the perfect way for any youngster to begin their underwater journey. It is the Scuba equivalent of a provisional license – you get to scuba dive but you are limited in-depth and you must be accompanied by a PADI professional level diver. With nearly 5000 PADI Centres in over 175 countries, there’s no shortage of opportunities for young people to dive both here and abroad!
Knowledge Development is a very important part of the PADI Scuba Diver course. Participants will complete the theory section from the comfort of their own home through PADI's online e-Learning platform. We will review the theory again before beginning the diving portion of the course.
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three shallow water (2.5 meters) confined dives. These dives take place in the comfort and safety of our custom made dive tank. During training dives, participants will learn basic Scuba skills and become comfortable underwater while working together as a team.
The last stage of the course involves putting these newly learned skills and knowledge into action, as divers embark on two Open Water Dives in Roberts Cove Bay. This is their opportunity to explore a whole new world and experience all Scuba diving has to offer.
* In the rare event that conditions prevent us diving on the last day, we may have to switch to our dive site in West Cork or postpone to another day.
